PIM: Hi Minjo. Welcome aboard PIM.........all the way from Centurion Tell us about yourself?

minjo: Hi PIM, thanks for having me, I am from centurion, and I am in the events and promotions business, I studies marketing and event co ordination.

PIM: What are some of the accolades that you have achieved thus far in your career?

minjo: I started my own Promotional sand events company , Blissful Events at 19, :)

PIM:How is Pretoria Minjo,Would you ever move to JHB?Give us two reasons why PIM should get to Pretoria on the weekend?

minjo: I do like Pretoria very much…the Jacaranda city isn’t so busy as JHB…for one , but I would not move the JHB..i want to move down to the beach though – will see what the future holds.

PIM: What do you do for a living Minjo?

minjo: I run promotional campaigns and do events management…and keep myself busy with promotions.

PIM:PIM is honored to have you! Your ambitions and goals as a model?

minjo: Photographic modeling is my biggest interest.

PIM:Where do you see yourself in ten years time? How did the modeling journey begin

minjo: Well PIM, in ten years time I hope to have my business up and running and successful.

Firstly? I use the enter beauty pageants as a little girl and taking pictures just for fun, a photographer approached me and suggested that I do a shoot with him, and said he saw potential…and that’s where It started :)

PIM: Did you ever think you'd be doing this(modeling)?

minjo: I have always wanted to do modeling and admired the models in magazines since I was a little girl, I also attended a few modeling schools and completed finishing course…I am actually a qualified modeling teacher!

PIM: What do you like most about modeling?

minjo:The designer outfits you get to wear for shoots and all the amazing pepol you get to meet, it truly is a glamour industry to be in. What do you like least? Te cattiness of some girls.

PIM: How do you stay in such great shape. Care to share some of your dietary and training secrets?

minjo: Thank you PIM, no secrets …good genes, I actually dont like the gym at all, nor do I like exercise…lots of water…is something I cant go without though.

PIM: If you were invisible for a day?where would you wanna be ?

minjo: On a beautiful Island…with no worries

PIM: Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme ?

minjo: I would definitely have to say the beach…no place like the beach..

PIM: Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and then a guys?

minjo: Haha I would have to say my legs, and bum(so I have been told)..on a guy..abs and a nice tatoo

minjo: I really enjoy going to FTV and Cofi with friends, or having them over for fondues :)

minjo: No..not single! The perfect man, a real gentleman that is caring and protective, loving and reliable J a nice smile..is a great feature to have

minjo: Something different and be creative…candles and roses, is my favourite.

PIM: KERRY. Thank you for gracing PIM. You are from JHB. You certainly are POETRY IN MOTION and you were TOP TEN FHM MODELS 2009. Firstly tell our readers more about yourself? Secondly how did the journey into modelling begin for you?
kerry: Thank u :). I am 19 years old. I'm a student at Wits. I am into martial arts(Taekwondo). Im a bit of an extremist and enjoy a great adrenaline rush.
Modelling started when I was approached to do a shoot/fashion show.

PIM: How was the FHM 10 Experience. Tell us more about it, Did you muster up alot of support within the Indian Community? . What were some of the highs and lows of the event?
kerry: It was very new and exciting. I had only been modelling for about nine months at the time, so also very nerve wrecking; but nevertheless an exhilarating experience I'l never forget. Yes, by the truck loads haha. The highs was the attention and ofcourse the glamour. What girl doesn't wanna be dolled up?! The lows would probably be having to keep level headed when the 'traditional soceity' thought it to be 'too revealing', but it was also something one grows from so it's all good.

PIM: What’s a day in the life Of Kerry Singh. How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living?
kerry: LoL I'm pretty much normal. Most days involve Varsity and Taekwondo. When I have free time I model and ofcourse I always make time for shopping!! Hmmmmm bills?? Daddy?! LOL I do not earn at this stage(19??!) of my life apart from part time modelling. Im a student :P

PIM: Did you ever think you'd be doing this (modelling)?
kerry: I do love pictures, so took up the opportunity when it arose, however I did not think it a dream that would materialise. I just see it as a hobby. Believe it or not there is a very nerdy part to me and I'm into numbers, haahaa, which is the direction I'm heading in.

PIM: What do you like most about modelling? What do you like least?
kerry: I would have to say the glamour. And for the least- the never ending anxiety!

PIM: What are your Health and beauty secrets? Any tips for our readers? I mean all that spicy and delicious Indian Food, PIM should know. How do you make the sacrifice with that type of food being part of your culture?
kerry: HAHAHA, I'm more of a junk food type of girl. And that would be lots of training!

PIM: Can you cook a smouldering Hot Curry? If you had to whisk up a quick Indian Dish for PIM, What would it be?
kerry: Truth or lie?! Hmmm, alright yes I can( what would you like?), do I do it on a regular basis? No. I enjoy baking. . .and YES Burfee was a dangerous discovery!!

PIM: Since we have you on PIM, And you’re Indian. Did you watch Slum Dog Millionaire? How was it? PIM hasn’t watched it. Why would you recommend that we watch it?
kerry: Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to watch it!! But I definitely will!

PIM: Is there any one you would like to meet right now? And if you were a fly on the wall where would you want to be?
kerry: Im not one to go crazy for celebrities. So not anyone in particular. Im going to be a typical girl and say John Abraham.

PIM: .Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme?
kerry: Oooooooooooooo!! Victoria Falls and tropical.

PIM: Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys?
kerry: Mine? (huge shy grin). . .If I had to really choose- my legs. On a guy - Abs with 'V' included!!

PIM: What was the most bizarre and funny come on line that a guy has used on you?
kerry: Most guys find me intimidating, so they hardly use that approach. . . but what I do remember and think is totally lame is the very old and over used 'Are you a speeding ticket? ... Cause you have FINE written all over you' (walk along please)

PIM: Are you happy that the IPL Cricket League has come to SA? Good for revenue and good for SA? Your thoughts...Did you fancy a shot at becoming Miss IPL. Great prize and experience for the winner.?
kerry: Yes it was pretty cool, and yes I did go for a couple matches. Definitely good for SA!!! Hmmmmm after all that attention with FHM, I was not looking for more. A few of my friends did beg me to stand out but it was horribly cold!! But hey, either I didn't catch the camera or the camera man didn't catch me ?? :P

PIM: What was your favourite Bollywood Movie and Why? Bollywood movies always seem to reflect on real life scenarios in the Indian Culture. Has any movie had any impact on your life or has been an inspiration?
kerry: I like change! So right now it would have to be Dostana... good eye candy. I love it so much I got the movie and PVR'ed it to watch in bleak exam breaks!! Bollywood is bad for me actually, Bollywood v Reality...... Bollywood!! The scenarios are true but the depiction makes reality sad! No one actually lives with all rainbows and butterflies!! Come now! No major impact has come from any movie. . . just lots of tears!

PIM: How has the modelling Industry ,present that is had an impact on the Indian Community and aspiring Indian models. With the bevy of Beauties in Bollywood, and the resurgence of Bollywood Im sure many aspiring Indian woman want to emulate these stunning actresses?
kerry: Yes I'm sure every girl wants to be as beautiful as those actresses but every girl to her own. . . Rather be 1 out of of 1 and an original than just someone's knock off.

PIM: I got to ask you this. Who are your favourite Bollywood Stars,male and female?
kerry: Male- John Abrahams (go figure) Female- Priety Zinta

PIM: If you could be anyone famous in the World today, who would you want to be and Why?
kerry: Barack Obama! Power! and ofcourse the ability and means to have influence and bring about change. Although I'm quite content being me :)

PIM: Are you single? What’s your ideal man?
kerry: Yes. Someone who understands me, makes me laugh and keeps it real.

PIM: Hi Lizandi. Thank you for gracing PIM. So you from JHB. Tell us more about your yourself and your modelling journey thus far.?

lizandi: My pleasure.. Well, I am from JHB, but I am a full time law student at the North West University in Potchefstroom. I finished my BComm Law degree last year and is currently busy with my LLB degree. I started my modeling career at the age of 6 and just fell completely inlove with it. I started only doing beauty pageants and ramp modeling at firts untill about two years ago when I was chosen to do a model calendar in Mauritius. After that I just loved being infront of the camera, its my favourite place in the world. Haha!

PIM: PIM Met you at a few FHM MODEL 2009 PARTIES. How was the competition and journey? lizandi: The FHM Models comp was great, I just loved every moment of it. It was lots of fun but hard work at the same time. I had to work really hard to get votes and make it to the Top 10, wich was amazing! I learned alot from all of it and it was a really awesome experience. I also made some great new friends along the way and met some really stunning people, so thank you so much to everyone who voted for me and supported me!

PIM:What have you been doing since FHM Models?

lizandi: Well apart from being really busy with my studies , I have been working on some new photoshoots, but I can't say to much about that right now. I have also been entering alot of competitions and working on chasing my dream. But most of the time I am just being a student

PIM: What’s a day in the life of Lizandi. How do you pay the Bills?

lizandi: Haha, well because I am a full time student, at the moment my parents still pay my bills, lucky me! Otherwise, a day in the life of Lizandi is really just normal. I get up every morning, go to class, study ALOT, and hang out with my friends. Oh the life of a student!!

PIM:PIM is honored to have you! Your ambitions and goals as a model? Where do you see yourself in ten years time? Did you ever think you'd be doing this(modeling)?

lizandi: My dream is to be a great photographic model. I would love to work with FHM and other magazines again in the future, but at the same time I also have so many other dreams. I am a law student and I love my studies. I also dream of being a great laywer one day. In ten years I see myself done with my articles and making a great success of my life. Being a model/laywer or even maybe running my own modeling agency. Yes, I did, because I have been doing it for so many years, modeling has become a big part of my life.

PIM: What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least?

lizandi: Modeling has really helped with my confedence and the best part about modeling for me is that every new experience is a challenge where you have to give your absolute best and work really hard, but when succeed its the best feeling in the world. I love chalenging myself, there is always space for improvement. The bad part of modeling for me is the bad comments and negative criticism. When you are a model you learn to deal with it, but sometimes it can be really hard. People can be really mean.

PIM: What are your Health and beauty secrets Lizandi? Any tips for our readers? How do you stay in Shape?

lizandi: It isn't really a secret, I follow a healthy diet. No junk food and alot of water. Exercising includes earobix or just going for a run around the block. Eating right and sleeping right is my two secret weapons.PIM: Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme ? Paris, France, I would love to do a shoot with the Eifeltower in the background.

PIM: Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys?

lizandi: Well the sexiest part of my body for me would have to be my eyes, the eyes are such a powerfull weapon, haha! The sexiest part of a guy has to be his tummy, I am a sucker for a great sixpack.

PIM: What was the most bizarre and funny come on line that a guy has used on You?.

lizandi: Oh this is quit embarrasing. A guy once told me that I looked like a girl he saw in a great porn movie.

lizandi: I played provincial hockey for 3years.

jeanine: Hi. I am a young, dynamic, outgoing lady, who enjoy the world of modelling to bits. For me every second in life counts, that’s why I work to achieve all my goals I set, because no goal is unreachable.

PIM: What are some of the accolades that you have achieved thus far in your career?
jeanine: Being a Miss SA semi finalist in 2008, aswell as doing the Harley Davidson campaign for Rapport.

PIM: How was the Miss SA experience. Semi Finals is a great achievement. Would you do it again?

jeanine: For sure. Being in the semi finals for Miss SA at the age of 18 with my first entry was a great experience. Learned alot. I cannot wait for Miss SA 2009, my goals are set and already working on it.

PIM:How is Pretoria Jeanine,Would you ever move to JHB?Give us two reasons why PIM should get to Pretoria on the weekend?
jeanine: Maybe….Pretoria is the party capital and there is always a party around every corner…and girls in Pretoria is much sexier than joburg girls….lol

PIM: What do you do for a living Jeannie?

jeanine: I study law part time at UNISA…..and of course model…model….model

jeanine: Never though I would do modelling, was a little tomboy in my younger days…lol, but hey here I am and I won’t give it up for anything in the world. My modelling began with a beauty pageant at school when I was 14. After that I went for my first portfolio shoot at the modelling agency, I got hooked by the camera…now I just love it…especially lingerie and swimsuit shoots….. My goal as model is to be featured in SA top magazine such as Sport illustrated, FHM an GQ….ten years time, we have to wait and see!

PIM: What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least?

jeanine: What I like the most is the fact that modelling is a lifestyle and you can always look your best….the least, there is a lot of competition and the ladies are bitchy…

PIM: How do you stay in such great shape. Care to share some of your dietry and training secrets?jeanine: LOL…..no dietry and no training…..I love hamburgers and pasta…….only advise rather take the stairs than the lift girls, it works wonders!

jeanine: Nope. Have met all the people that matter….ooh that’s a very cool question, I would like to be in a couple of places….just to hear what people have to say about me, as I am very fascinated by people…

jeanine: Mmm…I think a tropical island, a white beach, clear water and sunset with island music and of course the most important item….a very hot, sexy bikini….

jeanine: LOL….my sexiest part? I think that will be my eyes….and with a wonderbra on, who will know then…lol. A guys….definitly his mouth and smile…

jeanine: Okay well this is really bizarre……….a guy phoned me and when I asked who it was, he told me he is knight and shining armour, who is going to pick me up and take me to my fairy tale land in which he will make all my dreams come true and treat me like a princess…….all I could do was laughed and hang up, because a guy saying something like that really have no brains at all…LOL

PIM: If you were a tour operator and had to entice people from around the World to visit South Africa .How would you promote it?

jeanine: Tell them it’s an absolutely fantastic country in every way possible, the nature, the people, the culture……everything!

jeanine: Well I think you know about all my talents, because I use them all….can’t let a talent go to waist…

chantel: My name is Chantel I am 27 i stay in centurion, I work for Tripel xxx as a part time rep I am a very out going type of person and always up for a challenge I love animals so I am against any abuse to any animal. My modeling well its a hobby for me at the moment dont realy have the time to put all the effort into it that is needed and also where to find a good agency these days that will help you become what you want instead of filling there pockets. What more about my self hmmmm there is so much to tell but such little time :) !

PIM: What are some of the accolades that you have achieved thus far in your career?Highs and the lows?

chantel: My career well that is a tricky one because I dont realy have one of those,I keep my options open so i do abit of every thing ! But what I can say is that you dont realy need a education these days because if you are street smart you will do good ,just need some one to give you a chance. Lows in my career is that I am always wondering when it will end but so far I have been on track all the time !

PIM: PIM Met you at a few FHM MODEL 2009 PARTIES. How was the competition and journey? chantel: LOL well the competion was exciting, alot of work but fun. I enjoyed it. It was my first eva competion I entered so it was a learning curve and a step in a new direction of being or becoming a model. Important thing I learned was that neva forget your fans because its their support and love that helps you in a big way as well to get you where you are especially in a competion like FHM Models .

PIM: What’s a day in the life of Chantel. How do you pay the Bills?

chantel: Being busy all the time, as mentioned I work for Tripel xxx as a part time rep

chantel: Where do i see my self in 10 years? Well not being a model but being succsessfull in what eva I decided to take on . My ambition and goals as a model! I want to still do a very glamo shoot for glamourous shoot for a famous brand !

PIM: What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least?

chantel: Hmmmm I dont know what i like about it? It was a dream of mine and I think for me what I can say I enjoy is that I made my dream come true ! What i dont like is that you get these girls and guys that because they are models, they forget that they also only just a human like all the rest .What I am trying to say is "dont think because you a model you beter then the rest !

chantel: How do I stay in shape well if I find that out I will let you know. I dont do any sort of training or diets , I think i am just lucky . Beauty well I got that from my mom.To maintain that, Dont do any thing special like beauty treatments every second day like some girls do !Again I am just lucky I suppose !

PIM: Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme ?

chantel: My dream shoot! Paris! and it must be a very VOUGUE type of setting and with real fashion sense !

PIM: Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys?

chantel: well I will have to say bum and for the guys my boobs lol :::)

chantel: I cant realy say I have eva had a pick up line .

PIM: What do you think about J Zuma as our new president. Are you optimistic about the future in SA?

chantel: All I can say is that people must stop complaining about who the president is and start working together as a nation to better SA so that all can benefit from it ...am I optimistic, well if the goverment do what they are there to do and not make empty promises yes i think that we have a good future here !

PIM: Hi Carla Thank you for gracing PIM. So you from JHB. Tell us more about your yourself amd your modelling journey thus far.?
carla: Hi, Thank you for including me as one of the PIM Babes.
I’m a very confident individual, although I believe I have my faults, like everyone does, I have never let them destroy my confidence. I believe that our little faults and quirks make us unique. I’m always friendly to just about everyone I meet…lol…which has caused some to label me as a flirt. I wouldn’t say I’m too flirtatious though. I’m very loyal to those I love and consider friends. I’m spontaneous and free spirited. Love the occasional wild outing. I’m movie crazy…I don’t go a single weekend without watching at least one at the cinema. I talk way too much…lol. I love to laugh, it uplifts the soul.
Modelling is at the top of just about every list I have. Although I haven’t yet broken into the industry like I would have liked to, I still enjoy working at it. I’m completely addicted to having my photo’s taken…lol….and I love that I’m able to add some of my own creative sparkle to my work. I have been fortunate enough to have worked with some truly talented photographers and thanks to them have gained valuable experience as a model.

PIM: What are some of the accolades that you have achieved thus far in your career?Highs and the lows?
carla: I am still climbing that corporate ladder at the moment, so although I have been promoted here and there and been given heaps of responsibility I believe I still have a long way to go.

PIM: What’s a day in the life of carla. How do you pay the Bills?
carla: I’m an Electronic Banking Administrator for The South African Bank of Athens. It’s a very demanding job which is a good thing as I’m one of those people who get bored very quickly and I need to be challenged constantly. Not the glam job I would like but it pays the bills. ;)

PIM:PIM is honored to have you! Your ambitions and goals as a model? Where do you see yourself in ten years time? Did you ever think you'd be doing this(modeling)?
carla: I am a photographic model as I do not have the height to do ramp modelling. I would like to find my way into modelling publications as this is where I shine.
I was always into modelling as far back as I can remember, however I never thought I would get the opportunity’s I have had. I’ve been rather lucky.

PIM: What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least?
carla: What I like most about modelling is that it builds self confidence. You learn to take constructive crit and at the same time you learn to let go of the needless nastiness that comes with putting yourself out there.
The thing I like least about modelling would have to be the stereo types that people link to the industry.

PIM: What are your Health and beauty secrets Carla? Any tips for our readers? How do you stay in Shape?
carla: My health and beauty tips….hmmmm…I’m not over the top when it comes to this sort of thing but here are a few things I do stick to that work well for me:
I don’t believe in starvation diets, rather I stick to a balanced diet that includes all 5 food groups. Starvation diets do more damage than good and it slows down your metabolism something chronic. 6 small meals a day is better than three big ones as it assists in speeding up your metabolism as does lots of water & exercise. The gym is my number one way of staying in shape.
A great little trick to remember when dishing up your meals….Carbohydrates need to be more or less the size of your fist, Meats the size of the palm of your hand…fish the size of your open hand and there’s never a limit to your veg…so go mad there rather than over do the meats and carbs. Low fat dairy is always best…trust me after 3 weeks of low fat products you won’t want to go back to that horrid full cream stuff. Lol
I am quite fanatical over the health and appearance of my skin. So I have a few tips:
A daily three step facial regime – Wash, Tone & Moisturise ;) All three are important.
I find scrubs do more damage and cause the skin to become red and inflamed, try pureeing some pawpaw into a past and then apply it like a mask. Pawpaw has natural enzymes that remove rough and dead skin without irritating the skin.
Body Butters for winter ladies, they ensure your skin stays moisturised during the dry cold weather and they smell amazing.
I use Avroy Shlain spa products on my feet and hands. I have found these products work the best for me.

PIM: Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme ?
carla: I would love to shoot in a desolate area, desert. Something with a Guess jeans feal.

PIM: Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys?
carla: I am all about the eyes.

PIM: What was the most bizarre and funny come on line that a guy has used on You?.
carla: Not so much bizarre as just plain annoying…”Hi, I think you are very Cute” CUTE is not a word I find complementing. Lol….it’s almost as bad as the word nice. I associate cute with soft toys and just think that there are so many other words that you’ll find are synonyms to the word cute that work so much better….like….charming, endearing, attractive.

PIM: If you were a tour operator and had to entice people from around the World to visit South Africa .Especially Cape Town? How would you promote it?
carla: Quite simply we have one of the world’s most beautiful costal holiday destinations. Hollywood stars are known to love Cape Town and many of them own holiday homes there. There’s never a lack of entertainment, shows, clubs and concerts to be seen. It is definitely the artists capital of SA in my opinion, if you want to make it as any kind of artist from music to photography Cape Town is the place to see, be and be seen.

PIM: What do you think about J Zuma as our new president. Are you optimistic about the future in SA?
carla: I’ll be completely honest here….I was devastated at the fact that the majority of South Africans chose to have JZ run our country after all the controversy that surrounded him. He was definitely not my choice when I made my mark on the 22nd of April 2009. However, I will give him his dues. From what I’ve seen and heard since his move into presidency, he has made some decent decisions that I’m sure every South African will benefit from. He is now our president and even those of us who did not vote him in need to get behind him and support him.
I do still cling to a glimmer of hope for the future of South Africa.

PIM: Tell us about one talent that you have that we never able to guess?
carla: Hmmmm I don’t know if you’d call it a talent…lol…but I can bring on the tears on command. Hey it’s gotten me out of many a bad situation. Hehehe
I have also been know to be somewhat Clairvoyant…..yes….I’m one of those weird folk. Bet you’d never have guessed that. lol

If you had a million rand, What would be your first purchase:

carla: No not single, I’ve been happily involved with one guy for 8 years now.
My ideal man is energetic, confident and humorous. He needs to be athletic and well built, he must look after his appearance and of course the most important feature….he’d have to have beautiful, kind eyes. I need someone who is able to handle all the drama because I seem to attract it….lol. He needs to be completely loyal…I accept nothing less than a man who is willing to give his whole heart, a man who is able to allow me to know him completely.

PIM:If PIM had to take Carla on a date or approach you in a bar .What do we have to do to blow your socks off?
carla: On first approach I prefer a down to earth honest one. There is no need for sweet talking and pick up lines. I want to meet you….not your representative…so be yourself, sometimes a simple Hello is a great ice breaker.
As far as dates go….I’m a party girl…so you’re best bet is to start off at a restaurant…or even a News Café…lol…so that we can chat and get to know each other a little. Then it’s time to hit the town…Take me clubbling and you’ll need to dance…cause I’m not a bar leach and love to dance. Lol!
If it’s a day time date…then you’re gonna have to get creative. I’m an adrenaline junky, so amusement parks, bungee jumping & racing cars are a few of the things you may want to indulge me with for the day. ;)

aimee: Its actually one of our family stores . The brand is imported from Italy and distributed worldwide. It is a very upmarket, limited and stylish brand where quality is tops. PIM: We know you are a passionate Man Utd Fan lol. You have been to the FA CUP and you have met the great Chrsitiano Ronaldo.Tell us about your love for MAN UTD. Will they win the double? and do tell us about Christiano.Was he all that is made out to be?

aimee: Man United Rock!!! I hope they do get the double, I have all my faith in them!! I'll be in Rome to watch the Final and Im hoping I won't be let down! oh yes, Cristiano is all that and more!!

PIM: Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme ?

aimee: Probably something romantic. In an old italian village with old broken walls and old streets!! Or in a jungle.

sune: When I was in high school, a photographer saw me one day in a mall, he asked to do a shoot with me, and so it began

PIM:Whats an average day in the life of Sune Strauss. What do you do to pay the Bills?

sune: I am a full time personal assistant and marketer at an insurance company

PIM: Your ambitions and goals as a model? and what are some of your accolades thus far in the industry?

sune: I am only a photographic model, been featured in magazines before. I recently did an international launch with lingerie and American choppers, and I am also one of the models in the Soccer Babes 2009 calender

PIM:Did you ever think you'd be doing this(modelling)?

sune: As a little girl I always dreamed of becoming a singer, so when I realized I do not have a singing talent, I decided the camera will have to do.. :)

PIM: What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least?

sune: I like most being in front of the camera – there I am free and can live myself out. And then of course seeing the pictures afterwards and knowing the hard work was worth it. What I like least is people judging the moment they hear you are a model, making assumptions before knowing the real person

sune: Hmmm…. I have no specific beauty secret, I eat what I want when I want. I just drink a lot of water and then go out with the girls and dance off what I shouldn’t have had… If I could make any food the caloric of lettuce, it would be Cornetto Strawberry Kisses. I would eat one every hour !

sune: Oprah ! I would love to meet that ladyI would like to be a fly on the wall in a director’s board meeting of a law firm and hear what they actually talk about

PIM: Hi Yolanda Thank you for gracing PIM. So you from Cape Town. Tell us more about your yourself amd your modelling journey thus far.?

yolanda: I enjoy life fully, I got one chance at it so I am going to make it a good one! Currently studying law. Modeling is an experience of a lifetime, the people you meet and the chances you get to be a silly dilly or a sexy cat is amazing. You grow as a person and find out something new about yourself each time. My journey has just been living life fulltime!

PIM: What are some of the accolades that you have achieved thus far in your career?Highs and the lows?

yolanda: Highs is that I was 2nd princes Miss Tropika strand! Got a regional Call out for Miss South Africa and finalist for Miss Earth SA. The lows are always that you cant get all the work you want to, but I believe I only gain experience for the next one.

PIM: How is Cape Town Yoalnda?Would you ever move to JHB?

yolanda:If my career takes me to JHB I will consider it! But moving there permanently I am not to sure! Cape town is not just a place it become part of you.

PIM: So you are in the TOP 15 for the Miss Earth.?Tell us more about the Miss Earth. What does it entail. ? Will you be an ambassador of making our world environmental friendly should you win?yolanda: Miss Earth certainly opened some doors for me! Miss Earth SA in association with Consol, is not just a beauty pageant. It give young South African women a chance to take a stand toward people that is killing our environment. Should I win …I would use my title as a platform to educate! Educate young children about the importance of saving what we have left. Spread the word that we need help and everybody needs to do their bit to save our earth!!!

PIM: What’s a day in the life of Yolanda. How do you pay the Bills?

yolanda: At the moment I have my own business… entrepreneur! You go girl!

yolanda: I always wanted to do modeling… but as I was from a small town the opportunities was never there. Cape town gave me the opportunity and I took it, never knew it would actually happen!

PIM: What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least?

yolanda: My favorite thing is, when you get your end results of a shoot! Most amazing feeling always, worst thing a camera never lies so if you indulged on cheesecake you can see it!!

PIM: What are your Health and beauty secrets Yolanda? Any tips for our readers? How do you stay in Shape?

yolanda:I go to gym three times a week. Healthy body, healthy mind. Try to eat 6 healthy portion a day and not just 3! It keeps your metabolism working faster! My ultimate beauty tip is DRINK LOTS OF WATER! It works.

PIM: Is there any one you would like to meet right now? And If you were a fly on the wall where would you wanna be ?

yolanda: I would love to meet Cindy Crawford she has been my idol for ages! I believe she is a strong individual and stand for what she believes in. The modeling industry is tuff and she stuck in thru. Mmmm a fly on a wall….let me see…definitely in David Beckham’s changing room!!!!

PIM: Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme ?

yolanda: Switzerland! Between the white frosty snow! Me wearing dark and thick coats, stunning boots and hats. And the white alps as my background!

PIM: Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys?

yolanda: Sexiest part of my body I believe it is my ass, and well speaking of ass a man with a good buttocks has my vote!

PIM: What was the most bizarre and funny come on line that a guy has used on You?.

yolanda: A guy once game up to me and told me that I have beautiful ankles and he would love to take me to Dubai!! O my hat I was so freaked out…guys do not try that line it is creepy!

PIM: If you were a tour operator and had to entice people from around the World to visit South Africa, Especially Cape Town?How would you promote it?

yolanda: 24 hour beach parties, a beach bar on the strand with tan stretchers and waiters…a snap of a finger and you got service, would obviously to it that table mountain and Robben island be in the view. Night cruises from the beach party to Robben island and around the coast. We have the weather and the sites we must use it!

PIM: What do you think about J Zuma as our new president. Are you optimistic about teh future in SA?

yolanda: Zuma Zuma Zuma, must say he is a feisty character, never a dull moment with Zuma around! We knew this is going to happen, did we as South Africans take a stand to stop it? NO! we just laid back and let it happen. At least we got Helen (DA) to help us in Cape town. If all the smaller parties stuck together and let us vote for one party I am sure we could of made a difference! So now we just going to have to wait and see what surprises Zuma is going to spring on us for the next four years. Well I must say it seems like the worst your criminal record the quicker you become president.

yolanda: I am extremely good artist and story writer!

PIM: Ashmi. Thank you for gracing PIM. You are from JHB. You certainly are POETRY IN MOTION. Firstly tell our readers more about yourself? Secondly how did the journey into modelling begin for you?
ashmi: I’m someone who loves wildlife, socialising, the outdoors and spending quality time with family. I care for those around me and live for those I love. I also value the great friendships that I have with some of my very dear friends.
The journey for me began when I was approached by certain modelling agencies and at first I was very reluctant but took the step forward by entering the modelling world and its gotten me this far.

PIM: What’s a day in the life Of Ashmi Dalpat. How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living?
ashmi: I am currently completing my law degree (LLB) so my day begins by attending lectures and spending time at campus doing research or printing loads of cases to read. During my spare time I work out and get involved in certain activities that keep me fit by either doing jogging, horse riding etc...
Once I get my degree I will surely be paying the bills but for now I’m fortunate that everything is covered for me.

PIM: Did you ever think you'd be doing this (modelling)?
ashmi: No, but it’s something I really enjoy as it opens many doors for me. Who knows where it could lead from here onwards. . .

PIM: What do you like most about modelling? What do you like least?
ashmi:What I fancy about modelling is that I get to dress up and be various characters whilst the make-up artists transform me into someone completely different at times. It’s also great as you get to meet many people and learn about different cultures.
What I dislike is that people have the perception that modelling is an easy career and that the models aren’t intelligent.

PIM: What are your Health and beauty secrets? Any tips for our readers? I mean all that spicy and delicious Indian Food, PIM should know. How do you make the sacrifice with that type of food being part of your culture?
ashmi:Never sleep with make-up on! Drink lots of water and use a face wash that’s not too harsh on the skin as this causes dryness.
I have a very balanced diet. I opt for grilled food instead of fried and hardly eat red meat. I also eat brown roti over white. No healthy diet is complete without a good exercise routine.

PIM: Can you cook a smouldering Hot Curry? If you had to whisk up a quick Indian Dish for PIM, What would it be?
ashmi: Yes, a delicious tandoori chicken curry with some fresh naan (Indian bread).

PIM: Since we have you on PIM, And you’re Indian. Did you watch Slum Dog Millionaire? How was it? PIM hasn’t watched it. Why would you recommend that we watch it?
ashmi:Yes, I personally felt that the movie was overrated and expected more from the actors. Don’t get me wrong, the kids were brilliant but there was just no chemistry between Jamal and Latika-the main characters of the movie. The soundtrack however, was excellent.
I would rather suggest that one read the book “Q & A” by Vikas Swarup which the movie was inspired by.

PIM: Is there any one you would like to meet right now? And if you were a fly on the wall where would you want to be?
ashmi:Suze Orman (personal finance author and television personality).

ashmi: Somewhere in the dessert, preferably Egypt with its beautiful sunsets and amazing views of the pyramids, dressed in traditional Egyptian clothing and make-up.

PIM: Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys?
ashmi: A guy: lean shoulders.
Myself: would have to be my eyes.

PIM: What was the most bizarre and funny come on line that a guy has used on you?
ashmi: “I envy your lipstick, can u put some on me?”

PIM: Are you happy that the IPL Cricket League has come to SA? Good for revenue and good for SA? Your thoughts...
ashmi:Yes, I am very excited. It is a great opportunity for SA to grow as a country as it will showcase our beautiful scenery and thus increase tourism. I’ve also read in the news paper that since we’re hosting the event, it’s expected to bring approximately a billion rand investment to SA.
There are a few Bollywood stars down here and they will surely attract more people to the games and make the matches more enjoyable to watch as well.

PIM: What was your favourite Bollywood Movie and Why? Bollywood movies always seem to reflect on real life scenarios in the Indian Culture. Has any movie had any impact on your life or has been an inspiration?
ashmi: “ Taare Zameen Par” ( Directed by Aamir Khan)
This movie isn’t your typical love story movie. Instead it educates you on the learning disability known as Dyslexia- which a young boy suffers from in his early childhood. It shows you all the struggles he has to face in life with his family, friends and social life as they initially were unaware of his condition. Once diagnosed with it, he learns how to adapt to his new life and the people around him also understand him better.
In the end you realise that every child is special in his own unique way. You also learn that there were several famous people who had Dyslexia namely: Agatha Christie, Albert Einstein, Tom Cruise and Whoopi Goldberg.

PIM: How has the modelling Industry ,present that is had an impact on the Indian Community and aspiring Indian models. With the bevy of Beauties in Bollywood, and the resurgence of Bollywood Im sure many aspiring Indian woman want to emulate these stunning actresses?
ashmi: I’d have to say that Bollywood has become more westernized over the years. It’s impacted our society in a way that has made people more open-minded but keeping roots and tradition as an integral part of their lives.
There are those women who look up to the actresses and admire them for their great talent, hard work and drive that they have to make their movies a success. Some also wish to look like them and dress like them. It is important to bear in mind that at the end of the day they are all human just like us and every woman is beautiful in her own way.

PIM: I got to ask you this. Who are your favourite Bollywood Stars,male and female?
ashmi:Male: Akshay Kumar for his good looks and charm.
Female: Katrina Kaif for her excellent dress sense and perfect figure.

PIM: If you could be anyone famous in the World today, who would you want to be and Why?
ashmi:Although this may sound clichéd, I’d have to say Oprah Winfrey since she is philanthropic and a very selfless person. She is determined to make the world a better place and I admire her because she is independent and has an immense passion for what she does.

PIM: Are you single? What’s your ideal man?
ashmi: No.
My ideal man is someone who’s honest, humorous, educated, a bit of a romantic, outgoing and who maintains a fair balance between his work and other loved one’s.

PIM: If PIM had to take Ashmi on a date. What would we have to do to blow your socks off lol?
ashmi: Something fun, exciting and original (preferably in the outdoors) followed by a relaxing picnic lunch with red wine. Basically nothing too formal.

IPL fan with star quality will be off to Bollywood!

Cape Town, April 16 2009: One lucky South African IPL fan with star quality stands to win a role in a Bollywood movie, R50 000 in cash, a business class trip to India and other prizes in the 2009 tournament’s Miss Bollywood SA competition.

The search for a South African lady with the potential to take Bollywood by storm was announced in Cape Town today by IPL Chairman and Commissioner, Lalit Modi, and Bollywood superstars Shah Rhuk Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta.

“We’re looking for someone who has the star quality to stand out in a crowd, probably without even trying that hard. It’s that special, almost indefinable, quality that makes someone a star more than a beauty queen that we are looking for,” Modi said today.

“IPL matches with their mix of fun and excitement are an excellent environment to identify the kind of person who is a natural stand-out in a big crowd,” said Modi.

“Star searches like this are a really great way to find people who may never even have thought that they have what it takes to really make it big,” said Khan. “The heart of our idea is to search the crowd at IPL matches for someone who has the attitude and appearance that automatically draws the eye. It will be the kind of person who is not necessarily showing off for the camera, but who can mesmerise even total strangers,” he said.

A total of 50 winners will be chosen from the crowds at every one of the eight venues around the country that is to host IPL matches. Winners will be shown on the big screen at every match during the second five-minute break.

There will be one finalist per match, identified with the help of TV producers who will have cameras scanning the crowds. IPL matches are being played in Cape Town, East London, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Bloemfontein, Kimberley, Johannesburg and Pretoria. Tickets to matches are on sale through Computicket.

Photographs of each match winner will be loaded to a section of the IPL web site (www.iplt20.com) where fans from around the world can cast their vote. Fans casting votes will also be able to participate in a fan competition around Miss Bollywood SA.

Before photographs are uploaded to the web site, each winner will need to verify that she agrees to enter, that her photograph can appear on the web site and that she is at least 18 years old.

One finalist from each venue will be chosen, leaving eight winners to be hosted and feted at The Wanderers in Johannesburg at the final of the IPL 2009 tournament on 24 May. The ultimate winner will be announced during the final.

roxy: Yes, from PTA. Well the journey has actually only begun I’ve only been serious about the modeling for the past year or so.

PIM: What are some of the accolades that you have achieved thus far in your career?Highs and the lows?
roxy: Uhm, Won Miss Congeniality 2008 with Figures SA and came in as second Princess in Ms Moot (Moot is the area I stay in) and in the top 100 for FHM models.

PIM:How is Pretoria Rox,Would you ever move to JHB?
roxy:Well I work in JHB often enough to know all about it, I would move yes.
Pretoria is more fun, although my opportunities arise in JHB.

PIM: You were top 100 in FHM MODELS,Tough Field.How was the experience and what has it done for you?
roxy: Hasn’t done much, it’s not all that and a bag of chips ya know.
The experience was the same as all the other modeling events, this one only had a famous name too it.

PIM: What’s a day in the life of Roxy. How do you pay the Bills?
roxy:Well I work for an upmarket promotion agency so they keep me quite busy.

PIM:PIM is honored to have you! Your ambitions and goals as a model? Where do you see yourself in ten years time? Did you ever think you'd be doing this(modeling)?
roxy:Yes I I did see myself doing it, I know the looks wont last forever so I’ll have to make the most of it while I can, hehee!
In 10 years I’d like to have a few magazine covers and 3 or 4 clothing/makeup brand campaigns under my belt.

PIM: What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least?
roxy:Most – the fun, seeing place, meeting people!
Least – Watching models make it by contacts (by getting in knowing someone or doing little favous for judges, if you know what I mean)

PIM: What are your Health and beauty secrets Roxy? Any tips for our readers? How do you stay in Shape? Ive met you and PIM says WOW!If you had to make any food or desert or junk food the caloric value of lettuce. Which would it be?
roxy: I do take care of my skin, exfoliate, tone, moisturize! A tip, drinking and smoking ruins your skin for the long run, I’ve seen it for myself and it’s quite scary.
I try exercise daily, thank you! Macdonalds and everything on the menu would be heaven if it had the calorie equivalent to lettuce!

PIM: Is there any one you would like to meet right now? And If you were a fly on the wall where would you wanna be ?
roxy: Yes, I’ve briefly met Lee-Ann before but I’d live to go for coffee with her!
And I’d be a naughty fly if I were to be one, I’d be sitting on Vin Diesel’s wall, naked! Heehee!

PIM: Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme ?
roxy: White beache, blue sky, crystal ocean and a tropical paradise on it…. And maybe a dozen well built men from the movie 300!

roxy: I don’t really think I have but I’d say my eyes are an asset!
