PIM: Sam, Sam.You are truely Poetry in Motion. Pim was blessed to meet you in exclusive one on one. I must say Top 10 for FHM 2009 is truly blessed to have you there, and so is PIM. First things first. A stunning Beautician & Horse Rider in the world of modeling. How did the journey begin. Where have your exploits taken you..... Tell Tell? What are some of your major achievements?
sam: Well, lets see… I started modeling at the age of 17 in Cape Town. I lived there for a few years, where I did matric and then studied. During school and college I found it very difficult to go to casting, shoots etc, so I didn’t really put my all into it at that stage. When I moved back to JHB I got back into it and joined Star Models, having my own business definitely makes it easier to model as my time is flexible! One of my biggest achievements was opening my salon back in 2007. I decided one day that I wanted my own thing, took the plunge and have been very happy ever since!

PIM: You have made TOP 10 for FHM Models? Was a tough draw. Were you excited when you got the news? Oh and please tell us more about the TOP 10 Journey(Behind the scenes sort of lol)? What lies in wait for a top 10 contestant? Any interesting shoots?
sam: Yes I am very chuffed to be in the top 10! At first when you make it to the top 100, top 10 feel s very out of reach. The day the top 10 was announced the competition was on! Now is when we all start putting our all in to winning this competition. The journey has been great, I had the opportunity to meet the other 9 girls at the official shoot for the magazine, which is out on Jan 28th! They are all lovely and we all got on great! But at the end of the day… we are in a competition :)

P.I.M: Sam...anything youd like to say.A message for our readers to entice them to vote for you?
sam: I dont think there is much that i can say to entice the readers! they either like what they see or they dont

P.I.M: Poetry in Motion and the blog are really proud that you up there doll.Do you promise us a nice pic, posing with mwha and my team and an autograph when you win...lol. What will you do with the Winnings and exposure?
sam: An autograph and a pic with your team will come regardless of winning or losing. The exposure will hopefully be used as a stepping stone for my career!

P.I.M: How do you approach these shoots surrounded by a bevy of beauties and the self Realisation that HEY IM TOP TEN and I COULD BE THE FHM MODEL 2009?What a prestigeous title?PIM is proud.
sam: I just approach the shoot as i would any other shoot. Its still my job to produce the best possible result that i can, so thats no different! the realisation is very exciting and the fact that the gorgeous girls are all around makes you that much more eager to do a good job! competition!

PIM: You are but 9 places away from the finale. Firstly, I know its a secret. But what do you have lined up for your campaign to muster all the votes. Secondly..What lies in store for the winner. Are you excited to snatch the crown of Fhm Models 2009?
sam: I called Sarah Palin, but unfortunately she was a bit out of my price range: ) so I guess it’ll boil down to exposure and getting my name out there! The winner receives a spread in the magazine, a cash prize and of course… the title! Which hopefully will help boost your career and open up new opportunities? I am excited so better stay positive!!!

PIM: Ok now lets find out more about Sam Greyvenstein as a person. PIM has learned that this Beautician and Model is actually quite and Adrenalin junkie. Diving with Sharks, Ready to brave the Amazon and Outback and the jungle. Wow...Strange to find someone so beautiful in these surroundings. Tell us more about your passion for these sort of things.?
sam: I like adventure and the outdoors. I am a very active person and love to exercise! I have been scuba diving since I was 13 and love it, sharks are an exciting part of it, not just great whites, but reef sharks, nurse sharks, any sharks! As for the jungle, I would love to rough it for a month or so in the Amazon learning about and exploring the Aztec and Inca ruins etc.

PIM: PIM was fortunate enough to get a treatment at Lime Skin & Body and a treatment from YOU. WOW. The place is amazing, peaceful, tranquil, and the treatment was WOW. PIM wishes you the best of success with your business Sam and we definitely recommend clients to have a treatment at your place. PIM: Speaking of which. What’s a typical day in the life of Sam Greyvenstein?
sam: Well I’m usually not booked up the whole day at the salon, so the morning will start of with gym, then ill go to the salon for a few hours, after finishing my clients I will sometimes have a few castings or a half day shoot, then its home to cook supper!.
PIM: Ok, For someone thats a connoisseur for food and all things sweet lol.You have an amazing figure. You are probably on a stringent fitness regime. What are you doing to maintain that hot bod Sam? It doesnt work for me lol?
sam: Well I try to gym 5 or 6 times a week, but I do have my lazy days too! Recently I have discovered a fabulous new way to stay fit and have fun at the same time, Salsa Dancing! I attend classes at Come Salsa with Strictly Come Dancing’s Thabo Moloto! He is extremely and talented and patient… hehehe!

PIM: If you could cook PIM any meal and desert to blow us away...What would that be?
sam: I would make a scrumptious lamb and lentil curry for those cold winter nights, followed by a smooth lemon cheesecake!

sam: Jessy Clegg! Up and coming singer and son of Johnny Clegg! Very cute and what a voice!

sam: Anywhere tropical and warm. I prefer to do swimwear, I find it the most natural to me.
PIM: Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys? :) PIM loves your eyes ?

PIM: What was the most bizarre and funny come on line that a guy has used on You?
sam: I wish I had a cool story to tell you. I’ve had a few of the good old standards used on me, but nothing to spectacular.
PIM: 2010...in SA...UR THOUGHTS..How do you think we will handle it, Are you optimistic about SA and the future in retrospect to the economy, change of presidency etc? Let me put it this way. If you were president of this country. What would you change NOW!
sam: I don’t think there is a government in the world who everybody is happy with, and ours is no exception. For the most part I think they are doing ok, but I really wish they could sort out the crime! I certainly hope that 2010 goes smoothly… otherwise all the traffic on the highways has been for nothing:)
PIM: Tell us about one talent that you have that we never able to guess?
sam: I got an A for art at school!
What’s your favourite fashion brand: To be honest I’m not really brand conscience but for sports wear, thanks to my mate Grantie who works at Puma, I’ve been converted to a Puma girl all the way!

Favorite clubbing and Hangout? Hanging out would be any good restaurant with a bunch of mates, and clubbing is any place where people don’t have their noses in the air!
PIM: Your face has graced magazines, TV commercials and catalogues local and international! Would you say a woman can learn how to be a model, or modeling is something in the genes? You have it or you don't have it at all? Why do you think so?
sam: I think you reading a bit too much into this whole modeling thing! It’s not simple but it’s definitely not rocket science. It’s just about being comfortable in your own skin and in front of others!
PIM: If you could be anyone famous in the World today, who would you want to be and Why?
sam: Elizabeth Hurley. I think she is beautiful classy!
PIM: Are you single? Whilst we on the topic, How important is a guy’s dress sense to you? So PIM can spruce up and impress someone like you. What’s your ideal man?
sam: I have a boyfriend! Dress sense is obviously quite important, but my boyfriend is from Durban so I appreciate a relaxed sense of style! My ideal man is someone who is funny, charming and sexy at the same time!
PIM: If PIM had to take Sam on a date. What would we have to do to blow your socks off lol?
sam: Not too much… Just good food, good conversation and no pretence.
PIM: Good luck SAM. A pleasure to have you on PIM. Best of luck with the Modelling and FHM Models 2009. We’ll get the votes coming your way..
